How to Use VS2Go
Submitted by genner on Thu, 11/27/2008 - 23:36.
Now that you have registered an account, you can begin using one of the most secure email systems available on today's Internet! After registration (or thereafter login), you will be brought to the email interface.
Step 1. Click: or select: Start > Programs > VaultletSuite2Go > VaultletSuite2Go to activate the VaultletSuite 2 Go main console and login screen.

Note: If you have changed computers since last accessing your account, VS2Go will query as to the location of your archives and VauletSoft files. The first few times you log in, an information window will pop up to tell you about some new features in VS2Go.
The VaultletMail Inbox window will now appear.

Notice also the VaultletSuite 2 Go Main console window that allows you to switch between using the Mail, File Storage and Password Management functions.

3.1 How to Use General VS2Go features
Simply speaking VS2Go works just like any other email client. You compose messages, choose recipients and send them off. However VS2Go also has a large range of advanced security features not offered by most other email software. In this section, you will learn how to compose messages, work with your email archives and the file manager.
To compose a new message:
Step 1. Click: to open the New Mail screen
Figure 23. The VaultletMail Composer: New Mail screen
Note: It is recommended that you manually enlarge the Composer window to see all features displayed in the menu bar.
Step 2. Compose your message, enter the recipient and click: when finished.
VaultletMail will automatically encrypt all messages to other VS2Go recipients (those with an @vaultletsoft.com address). For instructions on how to encrypt messages to people who do not have a VaultletSoft account, please read the next section.
To move messages over to the archive:
Your list of folders on the left hand-side of the main Inbox screen are divided into two categories: Vaultletsoft Server and Your hard drive as per Figure 21. All new messages, sent and received, are initially stored on the Vaultletsoft servers. They provide limited space and a limited time for storage. On a regular basis you must transfer your messages to your computer or removable device (to the location you had selected for storing the archives in Section 2 above). Your local account can be as big as the computer or removable drives allows. All your messages will be stored using VS2Go secure encryption.
Step 1. Select the required message/s you wish to archive
Step 2. Select: Message > Archive from the menu bar
Remember that when using the Mobile option of carrying your archives on a removable disk, you will need to have the disk with you at all times to access archived messages. You can however, receive and compose new messages without your removable device.
3.2 How to Use the VaultletFiler
VS2Go offers secure file storage and uses the archive (created on your computer or USB memory stick) for this purpose. You can transfer multiple files to be protected by VS2Go encryption, and access them from your computer or removable device. Bear in mind that files from your computer will be moved and encrypted by VS2Go. You will be able to access them only if you are connected to the Internet and logged into your account (future releases of Vaultletsoft aim to incorporate offline access functions). The VaultletFiler is accessed through the VaultletSuite 2 Go main console.
Step 1. Select VaultletSuite 2 Go > VaultletFiler to open the VaultletFiler screen

To import (or transfer) documents to the Filer perform the following steps:
Step 2. Click:
Step 3. Select the file(s) to be imported.

Step 4. Click: Import
The file now appears in the Encrypted Files window:

To access and work with this/these file(s) later, you will need to export and decrypt it first. To export and decrypt a file, perform the following steps:
Step 1. Select the file to be exported from the Encrypted Files window.
Step 2. Click:
Step 3. Choose the location to which the file is to be exported.
You will be asked whether you would like to decrypt the file first. If you wish to access (that is, edit or view) this file, you will need to decrypt it.

Step 4. Click Yes to decrypt and export the selected file(s) to the selected destination.
